About Barmouth
Barmouth is a popular holiday resort situated on the west coast of Wales, at the mouth of the stunning Mawddach estuary.
Surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, it is on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park.
It is an ideal area for mountain walks, and also has a large sandy beach and mile-long promenade.
The town has a variety of shops with antiques, bric-a-brac, gifts, fishing tackle etc..
There is a railway station, on the Cambrian coast line.
Barmouth also has a harbour used by fishing boats and yachts, and the quayside has a magnificent view across the estuary towards the mountain of Cader Idris.
